I am also a very passionate person. I stand tall and am vocal about the things I believe in. If I think something is awesome, I shout it out! If I think something is wrong....I also shout it out. Are you getting an idea of what kind of crazy-redhead-outspoken person is behind all of this?
Making the transition from "sewing is kind-of something that I enjoy doing" to "I LOVE THIS!!!" has been so fun. But as with anything else in my life, I tend to jump in and dedicate myself 110% because it is consuming my mind. A bazillion ideas swarm my brain - all going at warp speed. Have you ever sat watching TV while someone is flipping through the channels so fast that you wonder how they can even tell what they just skipped past? Yeah....that's my brain. ALL.THE.TIME. It's a wonder that I get any sleep at all.
To avoid spending all of my waking time in my work area, I have come up with a bit of a schedule for myself. Part of that schedule includes completing my own personal projects. Can you even believe it? In the past few days I decoupaged a cute little table, sewed a new throw pillow cover and made a wall-hanging magazine holder.

I have also grocery shopped, went snowboarding, cooked, cleaned, shoveled snow, did laundry, played with and entertained my kids, spent quality time with my husband, went to the library, survived SNOWMAGEDDON '11, checked Facebook, and paid bills. You know, the usual stuff.
I wonder how everyone else balances all the things that they find important? Do you give little bits of time to many different things or a lot of time to one thing? I'm sure whatever plan I have now will be ever-changing and evolving. That's life. Well, my life anyway.
cheers!

Oh Alpha....you amaze me! Not only with your creativity but with your passion for ALL things that you incorporate into your life! I'm so happy that we reconnected thru facebook, and we have started a new friendship! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your new bags, and your projects...can I hire you...seriously....come to my house for one day and TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!! LOL....You make me smile, and yes I definitely spend most of my day doing many, many things....all different! Some things get left on the "back burner" (you know how that goes) while others take up ALL my time! It's a balancing act, and I'm not very good at it, but I give myself grace because others do, so I should too! I've started realizing that if I only do the things that I have to do, and don't necessarily enjoy doing, what's the point! So...I do what I like/love, and the rest falls into place. Obviously the cleaning I don't enjoy like you...but I get it done, and I move along! I love your blog....so refreshing!
Ha! Thanks Sarah glad you like the blog - still a work in progress (as is EVERYTHING!!) - you said it perfect, why do it if you don't LOVE it? A wonderful lesson to learn!
And I agree - so happy to reconnect :)
and sure, I'll come over anytime - only a 2.5 hour commute, right? Maybe I can start an "organize over skype" business? hahaha.
